Installing Okta FastPass for Apple Machines

• Mac users can find the Okta Verify app on the Apple App Store.

• After installation, the Okta Verify application will appear in your system’s application listing and toolbar. Open Okta Verify. Click Start and search for Okta Verify or click the desktop shortcut. If the app is running, right-click Okta Verify from the system tray. Click Get started ->Add account and follow the instructions in the wizard.

• Enter “identity.stedwards.edu” for the Sign-In URL in the “New Account” field. 

• Then proceed through the expected SEU SSO path to confirm the new Okta Verify request.

• For FastPass, all Mac OS devices will have to enable “Touch ID.” It is currently recommended that you do so. Touch ID will serve as an additional MFA prompt for FastPass. Touch ID is a Mac OS system tool and is not directly affiliated with Okta or a user’s Okta account.

• A message confirms that your account was added successfully. When you access apps protected by Okta, you can now authenticate with Okta FastPass on your computer.
