Installing Okta FastPass for Windows PCs

1. Use the link below to access the Okta Verify for Desktop (Windows) installer. Download Okta Verify for your desktop, then proceed with the installation. For Windows devices, an .exe file should download and trigger the following installation agreement page.Okta Verify Installer (Windows)

2. After installation, the Okta Verify application will appear in your system’s application listing and toolbar. Open Okta Verify. Click Start and search for Okta Verify or click the desktop shortcut. If the app is running, right-click Okta Verify from the system tray.

3. Click Get started ->Add account and follow the instructions in the wizard.

4. Enter “identity.stedwards.edu” in the “New Account” field.

5. Proceed through expected SEU SSO process to confirm the new Okta Verify request.

6. For Windows devices, you’ll be required to enable “Windows Hello”. Windows Hello will serve as an additional MFA prompt for FastPass. Windows Hello is a Windows system tool and is not directly affiliated with Okta or a user’s Okta account.

7. Select a Windows Hello sign-in option

8. A message confirms that your account was added successfully. When you access applications protected by Okta, you can now authenticate with Okta FastPass on your computer.
