for apps like Okta Verify or Google Authenticator on your St. Edwards account to avoid getting locked out.
If you still have access to your old device, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your St. Edwards account throughManage Your Account task in myHilltop oridentity.stedwards.edu.
- Click"Edit Profile"in the upper right corner. To access account editing capabilities, you will need to sign in again. This means that you will be prompted for MFA. If the prompt defaults to a factor you can't access, use the drop-down menu to select an accessible one. For example, if you are prompted to use Okta Verify but you dont have access to it, you can opt for Security Key or Biometric Authenticator. If you cant access any authentication factors, contact OIT Supportfor assistance with a factor reset.

- Scroll to the "Extra Verification"section. Click "Remove" to remove authentication for the factor you are trying to reset.
- Afterremoving the authentication factor, the buttonRemovechanged to "Set up. Click "Set up."You will need to sign in again and authenticate via MFA.
- Click "Set up."
- Select the device you will use (iPhone or Android).
- Launch your authentication app (Okta Verify or Google Authenticator).
- Follow the apps prompts to finish setting up the factor.
