The loaner laptop issued to you is owned and managed by St. Edward’s University. We reserve the right to monitor the laptop’s location and activity.

You are the only authorized user of your loaner laptop. Never share or swap laptops with another student, and never share your password.
Reasonable Use:

Your loaner laptop is an educational tool and should be used in that capacity only. Limit downloads and installations to content relevant to your course.

Don’t mark your loaner laptop or its case in any way with markers, stickers, etc.

All St. Edward’s students, staff, and faculty are subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Don’t do anything illegal with your loaner laptop.
Liability for Damage or Loss

For the duration of your usage, this laptop is your responsibility and should not be left in classrooms, hallways, or hot vehicles. Keep it safe in your bag, residence hall, or home.

If your loaner laptop is lost or stolen, you must notify OIT immediately by contacting support@stedwards.edu.

You are responsible for costs related to damage or theft of your loaner laptop.
Your loaner laptop will be checked by IT Support on pickup and return to make sure it is in working order and that all accessories are present. If you have any questions about using it, ask us!
