Saving and Sharing Your Zoom Recordings

Body

You may need to save recordings of meetings hosted in Zoom.

This article covers:

Faculty: The instructions below are for non-class meetings. You can find Instructions for recording and sharing class sessions in our knowledge base article, “Faculty: Using Canvas to Schedule and Record Class Meetings.”

Recording to the Cloud from Zoom

  1. Log in to Zoom from myhilltop.stedwards.edu using your St. Edward's username and password.
  2. Go to "Meetings" > "Schedule a Meeting." From there, you can set your meeting options.
  • You can choose to “Record the Meeting Automatically to the Cloud.” If you don't want to schedule the recording automatically, you can select “Record to the Cloud” after you've started the meeting.

  1. Zoom will display a message noting you'll receive an email when you stop recording the session.

Share Zoom Recordings from Zoom Cloud

  1. After your Zoom meeting has finished recording to the cloud, you’ll receive an email. Find that email, and click "Share."
2. The sharing options window will display. When sharing, we recommend disabling the “Viewers can download” option.
  • By disabling this option, viewers can access and view the recordings via the link, without having to download them.
  1. Click “Copy to Clipboard.” Now the link is ready to share. Don’t forget to copy the recording’s password.
