Checking Zoom Meeting Attendance Reports and Polling Results

Zoom meeting schedulers (faculty, staff, and students) have reporting options to view meeting attendees and polling results.

Viewing Attendance and Polling Reports Through Canvas

With the Zoom Canvas integration, access reports for Attendance and Polling by going to Previous Meetings and selecting Reports. For detailed instructions on utilizing the Canvas and Zoom integration, refer to Faculty: Using Canvas to Schedule and Manage Zoom Recordings.

  • Note: Attendance reports are only available for 30 days after a meeting. Polling reports will persist for 12 months.

Viewing Attendance and Polling Reports Through Zoom

If you are not using the Canvas integration, sign in to Zoom from myHilltop and go to Analytics &Reports. There, you'll find two report options:

  • Usage - view meetings, participants, and meeting minutes
  • Meeting - view registration reports and poll reports for meetings

Select Usage to generate a usage report.
Zoom Analytics and Reports
The usage report provides details such as the meeting's Creation Time, Start Time, End Time, Duration in minutes and the number of Participants. For a more detailed view of individual participants, click on the number underneath Participants.

A pop-up will appear with information on the meeting participants.
"Meeting Participants" pop-upNote: Users may appear multiple times in the list if they left and re-entered the Zoom meeting. Check the Show unique users box on the top left for a list.

  • Name (Original Name) - the name of the participant.
  • User Email - the email the participant used to access Zoom.
  • Join Time - the time the participant joined the Zoom meeting.
  • Leave Time - the time the participant left the Zoom meeting.
  • Duration (minutes) - the length of time in minutes the participant was in the meeting.

Now, only unique participants will be displayed. If users have duplicate entries, they will be collapsed into one entry with their total meeting duration in minutes.

If you had polls during your meeting, you also have the option to generate meeting reports for registrations and polling.
