Using Google Meet

At St. Edward's, Google Meet is one of our primary videoconferencing tools. It’s integrated with and accessible from Gmail, the university's email.

With Google Meet, hold video chats or online meetings with one person or an entire group. Google Meet is integrated with Google Calendar, making it easy to set up and have your participants attend.

About Google Meet

You can access Meet directly at meet.google.com or find it through your Gmail inbox via the grid in the top right corner.

Adding from a Calendar Invite

Choose "Add Video Conferencing" from a calendar invite to add a Google Meet link. Everyone invited to the meeting will see this in the meeting information and be able to join.

  • Note: You can also go to existing calendar invites/meetings and add conferencing afterward.

Using Google Meet on Your Phone

The best way to use Google Meet on your mobile device is by downloading the Google Meet app from the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. We support the Google Meet app on iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices.

Note:
Google Meet and Gmail apps are separate and distinct.
