Equipment pick-up will be located in the lockers outside room 100A (behind the stairs) on the first floor of the Munday Library. Equipment Returns are located on the cabinets near the front desk on the first floor of the Munday Library. Please email the Digital Media Center with any questions regarding this process at support@stedwards.edu. Please review the list of available equipment to see what best fits your needs and make yourself familiar with the equipment loan policy. There is a 72-hour checkout policy and patrons must be currently enrolled or employed by St. Edward's University to check out equipment. Equipment will be available for pickup and returns Monday through Thursday from 12 PM - 10 PM and on Friday from 12 PM - 5 PM. Any requests made during the weekend should be available for pickup the following Monday. Once your request has been processed, you will receive an email with details regarding your equipment request, including when and where to pick up.
Equipment Loan Policy
Media equipment available from the DMC at the Munday Library is primarily reserved to enhance coursework, presentations and other areas of the academic experience. Our goal is to provide users with fully functional, ready-to-use equipment. Equipment is available for all students, faculty and staff currently enrolled or employed by St. Edward's University. Any requests made during the weekend should be available for pickup the following Monday. You will receive confirmation by email once your equipment request has been processed. Patrons who have checked out equipment on loan from the DMC will be charged a late fee if the equipment is not returned by the specified due date and time. After the borrowing privileges have expired, this daily late fee will be charged until the equipment is returned. Fees owed by Students will be reported to Student Financial Services. Fees owed by staff members will be reported to their supervisors. Fees owed by faculty will be reported to the dean of their respective school. All equipment has a 3-day/72-hour return policy.
Equipment Return Guidelines
There is a 72-hour checkout policy. All equipment is expected to be returned by the specified due date at the drop-off location near the front desk of the Munday Library. Any late equipment will result in a fine under the patron's name. Equipment returned with missing parts will continue to accrue rental fees until the missing items have been returned. Borrowers are responsible for ensuring all contents have been checked out are returned. Equipment checkout is a privilege that can be taken away from students, faculty or staff returning equipment late or damaged.
When Equipment Is Unavailable
During periods of extreme or inclement weather, sudden school closure, or other unforeseen circumstances, the equipment will not be available for checkout. All equipment must be returned before it can be requested for checkout again. Students cannot check out the same types of equipment over consecutive periods without the supervisor's approval. Renewals are based on availability. Additionally, there are no checkouts over holiday breaks.
