How To Print on Campus (Students)

Hoof Prints, powered by the third-party vendor, Wēpa, is the printing service for St. Edwards University students. This article provides instructions on how to print using Hoof Prints. Visit our lab and printing page or wepanow.com/mapsto find on-campus printing locations.


Note: Hoof Prints is a student printing solution. While anyone can use Hoof Prints, only students will receive Hoof Prints credit. Faculty members can consult their department for office printer locations. See the available copy and print services for large and specialty print jobs.

About Logging Into Your Wēpa Account

  • How to log in to your Wēpa account: When you log into wepanow.com or the Wēpa Print app, select "St. Edward's University" from the School dropdown menu. Use your St. Edward's University account to log in. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Logging in at a Hoof Prints kiosk: When you are at the Hoof Prints kiosk, tap the "Don't have a card" button.


Start by choosing your print method:

Wēpa Print Mobile App (Recommended)

Follow these steps to print using your mobile device:

  1. Download the Wēpa Print app (available on Apple iOS and Android).
  2. Open the Wēpa Print app on your mobile device.
  3. Click"Choose Your School." Then, enter and select St. Edwards University.
  4. Click "St. Edwards Login" and log in to your St. Edwards account. You may be prompted for multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  5. Click the + icon located at the bottom of the screen.
  6. Select the desired file source: Camera, files on your device, or a cloud service(like Google Drive or Box). Tip from OIT: Use your St. Edwards Google Drive or Box account to store your files for easy access.
    1. If you choose the Cloud option, select the cloud service you want to upload your file from and sign in to your account.
  7. Select the file you wish to print.
  8. Review your print options and, once satisfied with the print options, tap "Submit."A confirmation message will appear: The file was added to the print jobs processing queue. See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  9. To access your printing queue, titled "Your Print Jobs," select the home icon at the bottom of the screen.
  10. Locate one of the printing stations on campus.
  11. Tap the robot icon at the bottom of the screen, which displays the number of documents in your print queue.
    • Note: If you wish to exclude certain documents from your print queue, deselect them by clicking the rocket icon so that it is grayed out. Document in print queue with the rocket icon grayed out. There is a red box over the grayed out icon and next to it red text says
  12. Release your print:
    • Wēpa mobile app: To release your document, touch your phone to the NFC tag reader on the surface below the Hoof Prints monitor.Open the Wepa app and hold phone below to login
    • Wēpa release code: Tap the screen > "Don't have a card? Tap here" > "Login with Wēpa account, Wēpa code, and more"> "I have a Wēpa code" > Type in the code > "Submit." Wepa Code
  13. Collect your document(s).

W?pa Software for Personal Computers

Follow these steps to print from your computer using Wēpa software.

  1. Download and install the Wēpa print software.
  2. Select your document to print.
  3. Choose a printer destination:
    1. Wēpa BW: Black and white (monochrome) single-sided
    2. Wēpa BW Two-Sided: Black and white (monochrome) double-sided
    3. Wēpa Color: Color single-sided
    4. Wēpa Color Two-Sided: Color double-sided
  4. Review your print options and, once satisfied with the print options, click "Print."Your document will now be added to your print queue. See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  5. Locate one of the printing stations on campus.
  6. To log in to the printing station, tap the screen and use your St. Edwards account. Or, if you have the Wēpa Print app, touch your phone to the NFC scanner below the monitor to release the document(s) in your print queue.
    • Note: If you wish to exclude certain documents from your print queue, deselect them by clicking the rocket icon so that it is grayed out.

  7. Select your file from the print queue and confirm the print.
  8. Collect your document(s).

Print from Campus Computer Labs

  1. Log in to the lab computer with your St. Edwards account.
  2. Find the document(s) you want to print and export the document to print (Command + Print).
  3. Choose the printer that corresponds to your desired printing settings.
    1. Wēpa-bw: Black and white (monochrome) single-sided
    2. Wēpa-bw-duplex: Black and white (monochrome) double-sided
    3. Wēpa-color: Color single-sided
    4. Wēpa-color-duplex: Color double-sided
  4. Review your print options and, once you are satisfied with the print options, click "Print."Your document will now be added to your print queue. See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  5. Locate one of the printing stations on campus by visiting wepanow.com/maps or using the Wēpa Print app.
    • Note: We have printing stations in each of our labs, but it's not necessary to print at the printing stations in the same lab you are in.
  6. Print by choosing one of the following release methods:
    1. Wēpa mobile app: To select the item(s) in your print queue for printing, tap the rocket icon so it appears blue. Then, tap the robot icon and touch your phone to the NFC scanner below the monitor, which will release the document(s) in your print queue.
    2. Log in to the kiosk: To log in to the printing station, tap the screen and use your St. Edwards account. Then, select your file from your print queue and confirm the print.
  7. Collect your document(s).

Web Upload

Follow these steps to print from a web browser using any web-enabled device, including your smartphone, tablet, laptop, or any computer lab on campus.

  1. Go to wepanow.com/webupload.
  2. From the School dropdown menu, enter and select St. Edwards University." You will be prompted to sign in to your St. Edwards account.
  3. Click"Document Upload" in the navigation bar.
  4. Upload your file and follow the remaining steps to configure printing options. For more information about available print options, see our Hoof Prints FAQ. Upon completing your web upload, you will receive a code you can use to release the document (see step 6a).
  5. Locate one of the printing stations on campus.
  6. Print by choosing one of the following release methods:
    1. Wēpa release code: Tap the screen > "Don't have a card? Tap here" >"Login with Wēpa account, Wēpa code, and more"> "I have a Wēpa code" > Type in the code > Submit.
    2. Wēpa mobile app: Open the Wēpa Print app > tap the robot icon > touch your phone to the NFC scanner below the monitor, which will log you in to your Wēpa account.Open the Wepa app and hold phone below to login
    3. Log in to the kiosk: Tap the screen of the printing station and use your St. Edwards account to log in.
  7. When you're ready to release your print, tap "Print."
  8. Collect your document(s).

Cloud Service

Follow these steps to print by connecting to a cloud service like Google Drive or Box.

  1. Locate one of the printing stations on campus.
  2. Tap Print from Cloud or USB on the main screen.
  3. Select the cloud storage service you want to upload your file from.
  4. Log in to connect to your cloud storage.
  5. Select the files to print.
  6. Review and confirm your print options. See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  7. Collect your document(s).

Email to Print

Follow these steps to print using email.

  1. Log in to your St. Edwards email account. It is important to use your St. Edwards account when sending this email to ensure you can access your Hoof Prints credit.
  2. Compose an email to send to print@wepanow.com.
  3. Attach the document(s) you wish to print to the email.
    1. Supported File Types: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pptx, .pdf, .rtf, images (.jpg, .png, .bmp, .tif, .tiff)
    2. Maximum Size: 50 MB
  4. Send the email.
  5. Once your files are ready for release, you will receive a confirmation email reply (this could take a few minutes). Open the email and click "Edit options."You can also review the print options using the Wēpa Print app.
  6. Review and confirm your print options. Upon confirming your print options, you will receive a code to release your print. See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  7. Locate one of the printing stations on campus.
  8. Print by choosing one of the following release methods:
    1. Wēpa mobile app: Tap the screen > "Don't have a card? Tap here" >"Login with Wēpa account, Wēpa code, and more"> "I have a Wēpa code" > Type in the code > Submit.
    2. Wēpa mobile app: Open the Wēpa Print app > tap the robot icon > touch your phone to the NFC scanner below the monitor, which will log you in to your Wēpa account.Open the Wepa app and hold phone below to login
    3. Log in to the kiosk: Tap the screen of the printing station and use your St. Edwards account to log in.
  9. When you're ready to release your print, tap "Print."
  10. Collect your document(s).

USB Drive

Follow these steps to print using a USB drive. Note: Do not remove your USB until your document(s) have completed printing:

  1. Locate one of the printing stations on campus and log in using your St. Edwards account.
  2. Tap Print from Cloud or USB on the main screen.
  3. Insert your USB flash drive into the kiosk USB port.
  4. Select the file(s) you wish to print.
  5. Review your print options. When you are satisfied with the print options, click "Print." See our Hoof Prints FAQ for more information about available print options.
  6. Collect your document(s).

If you encounter issues outside of their business hours, we recommend you contact Wēpa support via email. Include the print station number (located on the lower left-hand corner of the printer display screen, labeled as "KIOSK_PROD_xxxxx") and a description of the issue; they will contact you during business hours.

If you require financial assistance, submit the Hoof Prints Balance Increase Request Form. This form is to request additional funding for Hoof Prints for one (1) academic semester. Please allow 2 to 4 business days for OIT to respond.

  • Note: Only one request per student per semester is allowed.
