Follow these steps to efficiently manage your time and create an appointment schedule in Google Calendar.
Before you begin creating your appointment schedule, you will need to enable "create appointment schedules" instead of "appointment slots" in Google Calendar.
What You Can Do with an Appointment Schedule:
- Faculty can establish their office hours schedule.
- Staff can organize and manage their meeting schedule.
- Students can indicate their availability and share it with their organizations.
- Create different appointment schedules to share with different audiences.
Create your appointment schedule:
- Open Google Calendar.
- Go to Settings.

- Scroll down and look for Appointment schedules, then check the box "Create appointment schedules instead of appointment slots."

- Go back to the calendar and, at the top left, click "Create +"
- Click "Appointment schedule."

- Add a title.
- The title is visible to anyone with the link to your booking page.
- The title appears on your calendar for the schedule and incoming bookings.
- To set an Appointment duration, click the down arrow.
- Note: If choosing a custom time, appointments must be at least 5 minutes.
- Set up the General Availability with the date, time, and time zone of your appointments.
- You can set up a one-time appointment (does not repeat) or a recurring schedule (Repeat Weekly).
- To show on what days you're unavailable, click

- To "add another period" a day, click

- To "copy time to all," click

- Set up your Scheduling Window. This will allow you to limit the time range your appointments can be booked to customize your availability.
- Choose a primary or secondary calendar where you want to add your appointment schedule.
- Once you create an appointment schedule, you can't edit it to be on a different primary or secondary calendar.
- Anyone with edit permission to a secondary or primary calendar can make changes to the schedule and view incoming bookings.
- To avoid conflicts for events created or accepted on primary or secondary calendars, select "Check calendars for availability."
- To add co-hosts to the appointment, enter the co-host's names or email addresses.
- Note: You can add up to 20 co-hosts within the same organization.
- To save the changes you've made, click "Next."
