With the Fall 2017 semester, faculty will notice a new way to enter grades in Banner.

The update from Banner 8 to Banner 9 brings a new streamlined interface that provides a more user-friendly and intuitive process for grade entry. We've hit the highlights here, but for more detailed information, check out the Office of the Registrar's walkthrough of the new functionality

Viewing Grades

Final grades appear together on a single page in Banner, where faculty can see more easily if grades have rolled to students’ academic records.

Uploading Grades

You now have the ability to import grades from a spreadsheet. If you prefer, however, you can still manually enter grades as you have done in past semesters, too.

With a single click, you can access information about each student during the grading process.

Grade Entry Options

If you’d rather stick with the older interface, for now, you’ll still be able to access it through Banner SSB until December. For those who used the Faculty Grade Assignment tool in myHilltop, this new Banner 9 functionality is a replacement.
