The Faculty Resource Center will be retiring Dec. 21, 2017 and Instructional Technology staff will be relocating to Holy Cross Hall 101. There will be a new Faculty Hub in January 2018. 

Q: Will there be access to the FRC over the winter break?
A: No, the FRC will not be accessible over the winter break. The technology in that space will be disconnected.
Q: Where will the Instructional Technology staff and student workers be located?
A: The instructional designers and student workers will be relocated to Holy Cross Hall 101 in January 2018.
Q: How will the new Faculty Hub be different than the FRC?
A: This will be a space for faculty to collaborate and explore new technologies. 
Q: When the FRC closes, where can I print course materials and color copies?
A: Faculty can check with their schools about using their departmental copiers, though there may be limits on the number of copies made. For large print jobs and color copies, the copy center is available. 
Q: Where can I use a computer?
A: If you are an adjunct faculty member, please consider using your assigned adjunct faculty office. The lab on the first floor of the library is also available. There will be limited space in the Holy Cross Hall Faculty Hub, with only four workstations planned. 
Q: Where can I get additional questions answered?
A: Please submit a support case through or visit Holy Cross Hall to schedule an appointment with one of our instructional designers.

Consultations and Training

Instructional Technology offers a variety of group training and individual consultations. Our offices are in the Faculty Resource Center, a 24-hour faculty-only computer lab with:
  • iMacs and Windows desktops
  • flatbed scanners
  • audio and video equipment
  • black-and-white and color printers
The lab is staffed from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

Canvas Assistance 

  • Self-Paced Online Tutorials for Canvas: We have created online resources (in Canvas) for learning how to set up your course, manage assignments and more. 
  • Individual Consultations for Canvas: Instructional Technology staff can help you set up your courses in Canvas. One-on-one appointments can be scheduled for specific questions or for overall instructional design assistance with your course.
