There's no single answer for why you're having trouble logging in to your St. Edward's University account. Here are a few things to try.   

Claim Your Account

If you're new to the university (or you never officially claimed your account when we switched to our current identity system), you still may need to "claim," or activate, your account. To claim your account, head over to our self-service portal, account.stedwards.edu, and select Claim Your Account. You'll be asked to enter some basic information about yourself and then set up account information like security questions and contact information.

Reset Your Password

Maybe you've forgotten your password. It happens to the best of us. Head over to account.stedwards.edu and select Forgot Your Password.

Make Sure Your Account Is Active

If you're no longer registered at the university, your account will be made inactive (everything is preserved, but you don't have access) for 14 days. After that period, the account will be removed completely.

For graduates, students who have withdrawn from the university or students who are otherwise no longer registered, you'll continue to have access to myHilltop, for things like unofficial transcripts and academic and employment information. Your email, however, will remain active only until whichever of the following dates applies: 
  • One year after graduation.
  • The last add date of a session for which you've been admitted.
  • 36 days after the end of a session for which you're enrolled.
  • Once you can no longer register without having to be readmitted.
