There's no single answer for why you're having trouble logging in to your St. Edward's University account. Here are a few things to try.
Activate Your Account
If you're new to the university, you still may need to activate your account.
An activation email was sent to the personal email address you provided when you applied to St. Edward’s, either as a student or an employee. You’ll need to open the email and click on the activation link in the message. If you’ve misplaced that email, no problem. You can get the email resent by calling OIT support at 512.448.8443 or emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once you’ve activated your account, you’ll want to set up account information like security questions and verify your secondary email, which you’ll need to reset or retrieve your password.
Reset Your Password
Maybe you've forgotten your username or password. It happens to the best of us. Head over to the Forgot Password area of Account Self-Service and follow the steps to change your password.
Having issues remembering your security question or otherwise resetting your password? Give us a call at 512-448-8443 and we’ll help you get a temporary password (after confirming your identity, of course).
Make Sure Your Account Is Active
For graduates, students who have withdrawn from the university or students who are otherwise no longer registered, you'll continue to have access to myHilltop for things like unofficial transcripts and academic and employment information. Your email, however, will remain active only until whichever of the following dates applies:
- One year after graduation
- The last add date of a session for which you've been admitted but have not registered for
- Once you can no longer register without having to be readmitted (you haven't attended SEU for a year)
