Everyone — students, faculty and staff — can reset the passwords on their university accounts through our self-service portal.

If you remember your password and just need to change it, head to account self-service and log in to change your password.

If you don’t remember your password, you can click Can't access your account? to view your account retrieval options. From there, follow the steps outlined to get a temporary password that will allow you into your account to set a new password.
While you’re resetting or updating your password, we also recommend beefing up security on your password. There's a lot of online help for strengthening password, and the university’s Password Policy has our recommended standards. We also strongly recommend verifying your secondary email address and security questions while you’re here.

If, for some reason, you aren't able to reset your password through account self-service, give OIT support a call at (512) 448-8443. Because of the nature of the information involved, we'll need to assist you over the phone, instead of via email.
