St. Edward's students, faculty and staff can access thousands of online training resources through LinkedIn Learning. These resources include videos on Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SPSS, NVivo, etc.

Go to myHilltop and search for the LinkedIn Learning task.
- On myHilltop, sign in.
- Search for "LinkedIn Learning" and click to launch the task.

- Signing in to myHilltop will automatically sign you in to LinkedIn Learning. If you were not signed in to myHilltop, you'll be prompted to log in to your St. Edward's account.
If you connected your St. Edward's LinkedIn Learning account to your personal LinkedIn account, you will need to log in directly to LinkedIn Learning.
- Go to LinkedIn Learning.
- Click "Sign In" in the upper right corner.
- Enter the email address for your personal LinkedIn account.
- Sign in with your personal account information.

Use LinkedIn Learning content in your Canvas courses through various methods: Sharing a link with students, embedding a LinkedIn course or video directly into a page or assignment, or creating an assignment that allows you to track student completion.

- Open a new or existing Page.
- To embed a LinkedIn course or video, navigate to the desired position on the page.
- Note: The screen size for these videos is large. Consider only linking to content (rather than embedding the video)if there is other content on the page.
- Click the External Tools icon on the editor toolbar and select "LinkedIn Learning."(If you don't see LinkedIn Learning, click "View All" and select it from the list.)

- Click the Search button to search all LinkedIn content.

- Enter your search term and select to search for entire courses or individual videos.
- Once you've found the content, click "Add"

- Click "Confirm" to save your choice. The embedded video will appear in the editor window.
- Save and Publish your page to make it available to students.
- Log in to your class and go to "Assignments."
- Click the + Assignment button to create a new Assignment.
- Enter an assignment name and any instructions.
- Scroll down to the Submission Type section and select "External Tool."
- Click "Find."

- In the "Configure External Tool" pop-up window, click "LinkedIn Learning" from the list.
- In the "Link Resource from External Tool" pop-up window, enter or select your desired content in the text field, or select it from the "Popular Skills" section.

- Use filters to narrow the search results if necessary.
- Click the "Add" button next to the content you desire for your curriculum, then click "Confirm."

- Upon returning to the Configure External Tool pop-up window, click "Select."
- When students click the video, they will be automatically logged into LinkedIn Learning and taken to the platform.
- Load This Tool In A New Tab: You may want to view the Assignment with the box checked and unchecked to determine which one provides the best student experience.
- Click "Save" or "Save and Publish" to make the assignment available to students.
Tracking Student Progress
- Navigate to your gradebook.
- Check the grade column for the assignment to review student progress and completions.
