Body
Panopto now archives videos not accessed for 19 months.
What does this mean?
Panopto videos that haven't been accessed for 19 months will be archived. They are not gone.
This article covers:
Restoring Archived Videos
Simply click “Restore from Archive” to restore the video. Recovery will typically take up to 48 hours. In some rare instances, it can take up to 72 hours. Once restored, the video remains available and continues to be accessed.
Important Note
Once you restore a video, you need to play it for a few seconds to reset the clock on the archive process. You have 30 days to do that or the video will go back into the archive.

How to Find Archived Videos
When looking in a Panopto folder, click "View archived videos" to see any in that folder.

When searching, check the box for "Show archived videos."

Canvas Links
If a video linked or embedded in Canvas is archived, any user can restore it. If you have several Panopto videos linked in a course that haven’t been used recently, before the course starts, click on each Panopto link and play the videos for a few seconds. This resets the timer for each video, ensuring they remain available for at least another 13 months.
Please see the Official Panopto Information on restoring archived content for more information.
