Body

You can access Microsoft Office 365 for free with your SEU email.

You can log into your Microsoft account here with your SEU email.

  • NOTE: Your Microsoft password does not sync with your SEU account, so it may be different from your SEU password.
  • If you do not remember your Microsoft password, you can request a temporary password from support@stedwards.edu.
  • IET will only provide a temporary password to your SEU email.
  • If you cannot access your SEU email, IET will need to verify your identity over the phone, over Zoom, or in-person.

If you do not have a Microsoft account yet, you can request a Microsoft account from support@stedwards.edu.

You may already have Microsoft account, but can only use the Office apps on Microsoft's website.

  • If you need a license to download and install Office apps on your personal device, you can request a Microsoft license here.
  • Once you have a license, you should be able to log in here and download the apps.
  • Within the left-side menu of the webpage, select the "Apps" button.

Run the installer, and it will take a couple of minutes to install the apps on your computer.

  • Once the apps are installed, you'll need to log into them with your SEU Microsoft account.
  • If you are asked if you want to log into all of the Office apps at once, that is typically the best option.
  • Make sure to UNCHECK the box to "Allow my organization to manage my device" if prompted.
    -
  • Arrow pointing to "Allow my organization to manage my device"

If you left the box checked:

  • The setting will link your personal device to your SEU Microsoft account and possibly break the Microsoft license on your device.
  • Go to Windows Settings > Accounts > Access work or school then "Disconnect" your SEU Microsoft account from your computer.
    -
  • Highlighted "Settings" icon
  • Highlighted "Accounts" option
  • Highlighted "Access work or school" option and "Disconnect" button
