McGraw-Hill Connect is fully integrated with Canvas. You can set up assignments in Connect and then sync those with Canvas so that grades are automatically added to the Canvas Gradebook. Students can also log in directly to their Connect text through Canvas.
Before you begin:
- Set up your McGraw-Hill Connect section in Connect.
- Delete any existing Connect assignments in your Canvas gradebook.
Set up the Canvas connection:
- Log in to Canvas.
- Go into "Modules in the left navigation and click on the 3 dots for the existing module you want to deploy the assignment(s) to.
- Select "McGraw-Hill Connect LTIA."
- Click "Pair with a Connect Section."
- Log in to your Connect account.
- Click "Pair with existing Connect course."
- Locate the Connect section you want to pair with and click "Select."
- Click "Go to Section Home"
- Select the assignments you want to deploy.
- Click the stack icon and select "Deploy/manage."
- You can set the grade type in bulk or individually. Click the "Deploy" button when done.
- The deployed assignments should show up under the module you started from and the Assignments area in Canvas. Click on the dots to the left of the assignment to rearrange the order as needed, including moving assignments to different modules.
- Remember to publish the assignments. A gradebook column is automatically created for each non-zero point assignment in the course.
