Touch Panel - Using PowerPoint in Extend Mode

Using PowerPoint in extend mode can be an effective way to present.

In extend mode, the projector screen acts as a second monitor, which can be accessed by moving the mouse to your screen's far left or right edge. To learn more about the instructor station touch panel features, see our knowledge base article about the latest touch panel updates. The following instructions will guide you in using extend mode to show a PowerPoint from the instructor station touch panel.

1. When you start the instructor station touch panel, first choose the classroom mode, eitherTraditional(in-person) orBlended/Hybrid.

2.Do not open PowerPoint before choosing "extend mode." Select Extend on the touch panel. Selecting a multi-display mode before opening PowerPoint ensures that PowerPoint will work properly.

Now, you will notice that one of your displays has PowerPoint open, either the PC or the projector screen. The screen where PowerPoint shows up is your primary monitor. Most of the on-campus computers will have the projector as the default primary monitor. This means that your PC will be the secondary monitor. To access it, you will need to move your mouse to the right side of the projector screen.
