Office Phone Move Protocol

If you need to move your St. Edward’s office phone from one location to another, this information is for you.

How do I Request an Office Phone Move?

Contact Facilities to schedule an office move. Once you have your move date, email OIT at support@stedwards.edu to move your phone. 

  • Note: Include your move date in the request.

How far in advance should I request a phone move from OIT?

Please make your request at least two weeks in advance of your move date.

When should I expect my phone move to take place?

Please allow up to four weeks from the day you move into your new office for your phone to be moved. OIT cannot move your office phone before your move date.

This lead time aligns with OIT’s coordination with our vendor and resources. We are working to coordinate all office phone move requests in the most efficient way possible. In this process, we ask for your patience and thank you for your understanding.

Will I receive a confirmation from OIT?

Yes, OIT will coordinate this office phone move with you via email and notify you when your phone will be moved.

Other departments responsible for physical space moves and related requests may also reach out to confirm and coordinate.

What about moving my computer?

OIT’s services do not include managing the moving of office computers. However, OIT can consult and provide resources to guide the disconnection and reconnection of your computer. If you contact OIT about a computer move, please submit this inquiry separately from your office phone move request.
